Abraham (first called Abram) was an old man with no children when God made him a promise that seemed completely impossible. God told him to leave his home and travel to a new land, promising to make his family as numerous as the stars. But year after year passed. Abraham and his wife Sarah grew very old, and still, there was no baby. This lesson teaches children that waiting is one of the hardest things we do, but God's timing is perfect and He never, ever breaks a promise.
