Daniel in the Lions' Den: Faithful When It's Hard

"We can remain faithful to God even when doing what is right is difficult or frightening."

Daniel loved God and faithfully served the king. But some people became jealous of Daniel and tried to find a reason to accuse him. When they discovered that Daniel prayed to God every day, they created a law designed to trap him. Daniel knew the law was dangerous. He also knew that God was worthy of his faithfulness. Daniel continued to pray. He was thrown into a den of lions—but God was with him. This lesson teaches children that following God does not always make difficult things disappear. Sometimes faithfulness means continuing to do what is right even when we don't know what will happen.
