Esther: Courage for Such a Time

"God places us exactly where He wants us, and He gives us courage to do what is right."

The book of Esther is unique because it is the only book in the Bible that never actually mentions the name of God! But even though God is invisible in this story, His fingerprints are everywhere. He perfectly orchestrates events so that a young Jewish orphan becomes the Queen of Persia at the exact moment her people need a rescuer. This lesson teaches children that bravery doesn't mean you aren't scared; bravery means doing the right thing even when you are scared, trusting that God has put you there for a reason.
