We all face storms in life—situations that are frightening, overwhelming, or out of our control. The disciples faced a literal storm on the Sea of Galilee. As their boat filled with water, they panicked, only to find Jesus sleeping peacefully in the stern. When they woke Him, they asked a question many of us ask when we are afraid: 'Teacher, don’t You care that we are perishing?' Jesus didn't just calm the storm; He revealed His identity. He spoke to the wind and the waves with absolute authority. This lesson teaches children that trusting God doesn't mean we will never experience frightening storms. It means we know who is in the boat with us, and we know that He is greater than anything we face.
